What is most important for you?

Is it money? Is it fame? Is it accumulating things?

Sadly, for many people, these are things that place at the top of their list. They may say that they are trying to “make a better life,” but their “life” is comprise of material and/or temporal things.

My company has a safety slogan: “It’s about…LIFE.” The word “LIFE” also is an acrostic for “Life-changing Injury and Fatality Elimination.” Obviously, this is an easy phrase to help remind us what is most important: life.

Try this accrostic:

  • Love – demonstrate love to all those around you (neighbor and enemy)
  • Integrity – be honest and forthcoming in everything; builds trust
  • Family – building your family relationships is an on-going process
  • Encouragement – work at encouraging and growing others

I’m also reminded of this Scripture:

(Deuteronomy 30:19) “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

Question: For you, is it about LIFE?
