A while back, I started listening to podcasts as part of my weekly routine. Since January, I have used Stitcher to listen to them. Here is a list of the top 10 podcasts that I listen to regularly and links to their website and/or Twitter.

Question: Do you have any podcasts to add to this list?
Joshua, thank you so much for the shout-out about our show! Very much appreciate having you as a listener. This is a great list – lots of excellent shows here.
Glad to hear that Stitcher is working out well for you. What made you decide to start utilizing Stitcher? What do you like it over other ways to listen? Just curious since more and more of our audience is listening on Stitcher and it’s always interesting to know what’s working for people.
Have a great week!
I am definitely thankful that I found your podcast. It has been helpful to listen to the different things you bring to us.
I use Stitcher because it was advertised on the Dave Ramsey Show 🙂 I hadn’t been listening to podcasts much, and I would just search for the podcast through iTunes. I don’t remember much because my relationship with iTunes podcasts only lasted a month or so.
On Stitcher, I like how easy it is to save shows as favorites so i can go back to them easily. I can easily go back to previous episodes (well, I think there’s only 5-10 of the most recent). There’s a search for similar shows (which is how I found yours). I also like being able to speed it up: I like to listen at 1.5 speed (double speed is a little much for me). I have several I like to listen to each week, so I speed it up so I can fit them all in!
Thanks for stopping by!
Yeah, I was never really happy with how iTunes did podcasts. For the longest time, I wasn’t aware of any alternatives. For lots of reasons, I think Stitcher is probably the best alternative today and it keeps getting better. I think it will start becoming the #1 place I direct people to who want to listen. Apple’s new podcasts app is an improvement over what they had before, but Stitcher is still the better service overall.
Only problem with Stitcher is that they compress the audio files, so the quality isn’t quite as good. But, 95% of people never notice.
I use an app called Pocketcasts on iPhone to listen to podcasts now. That way, I get the full audio quality. Not a good app for most people since it’s too complicated for casual listeners, but it’s working for me.
I’ve started listening to podcasts at faster speeds too. I’m not on the road as much these days (when I used to listen to podcasts) with a little one at home, so I need to maximize every moment I have! =)
Not me… I think my list is pretty similar except for the website and web tools podcasts. Great list!
Thanks for stopping by again! I would suggest checking out the Your Website Engineer and Weekly Web Tools. They’re not just for web developers. They provide some good suggestions for making websites better, especially with WordPress.
